  How do I transfer my hosting to Clearview Hosting?

The steps involved in transferring your hosting to Clearview Hosting are as follows:
  1. Contact us and order your desired new hosting plan
  2. Once the account is set up, upload and test a copy of your web site to the new account
  3. We will assist with the transfer of your domain to the new site
The transfer is complete.



  Do you provide Graphical Statistics?

Yes. User friendly Statistic reports detailing the usage of your web site are provided as standard with all full hosting services. The reports provide you with information such as how many people accessed your site, where they came from, where they went, details about their workstation (browser, operating system, resolution). Stats are provided free and live reports can be accessed at any time from your Plesk Web Control Panel.

  Can I add more features to my hosting plan?

We have designed our standard packages which are more than adequate for most website requirements but for the more demanding website you can build up your own customized package yourself through your Plesk Web control panel so as your website grows, your hosting requirements can easily grow with it and you only pay for the features you need!



  Can I host multiple web sites and domains with your hosting packages?

Yes, all our packages are capable of hosting multiple domains and websites for no extra fees.

This powerful feature permits you to host additional websites with your single hosting service. You can host extra fully qualified hosted domains that can have unique web content, and even email.

You can also just as easily host extra domains as aliases of your existing websites so they actually point at the exact same files as your original domain which means you don't need to duplicate any of your content.



  Do you allow pornography or adult content on your servers?

No! In fact, we reserve the right to immediately terminate any account that attempts to display any form of pornography or adult content.



  Can I add custom A NAME and C NAME records to my domain name?

Yes, you can add custom DNS and MX records to your domain easily through our online Plesk Web control panel.



  Why don't my pages show up when I upload them via FTP?

You must make sure you are logging into the correct directory. Make sure you go up to the root directory, then down into the httpdocs directory.



  How do I check my POP3 email?

Use an email client like Eudora, The Bat, or similar. For the host use your domain name, eg. mydomain.com



  What SMTP settings do I use?

Due to the possibility of spam abuse, we do not allow SMTP use. Please use the SMTP server provided by your ISP. In your email client, enter username@yourdomain.com substituting your particular information.



  How do I check my stats?

Surf to http://www.clearviewhosting.com/login.htm and log-in to your Web Control Panel to see "Web Stats" for your web site. Unless you have purchased a SSL certificate, you will receive a warning that you can safely ignore.



  Did I really have that many hits this month?

Remember, that every file request is a hit. If your page has 4 graphics and a style sheet, this will count as 6 hits.

Hits - Counts each time any file is requested
Files - Counts the number of files requested
Visits - Hits are grouped by IP address and time, this is the best indicator to use
Kbytes - the amount of data transferred.

Visits are the best indicator to monitor.



  I made changes to my web page, but they don't seem to show up on my site.

Make sure that you are uploading to the right directory (see FTP section) and that you use your browser's REFRESH/RELOAD feature.



  My page takes a long time to load

Graphics/animations are bandwidth hogs - make sure to optimize them to be as small as possible.



  How do I upload my pages?

Download and install an FTP client, like CuteFTP or WS-FTP. Then connect to your site. Use your domain as the host and your username/password combination to access your site. Upload your files to the /httpdocs directory.



  What is your Returns/Cancellation Policy?

You may cancel at anytime. To cancel your account, please read these instructions. As a policy, we do not offer credits or refunds for hosting time already expended or after a period of 30 days from the time of account activation. We do give refunds within 30 days of hosting already used calculated on the monthly hosting price for your plan, should you want to cancel prepaid service. Setup fees are non-refundable. All monetary transactions are in $US dollars. If you purchase one of our Web design and hosting packages and have published it to the Internet, or more than 5 business days have passed since the purchase, then no refunds will be given. We reserve the right to cancel any account for mis-use, spam violation or any other reason at our discretion.
